The website allows users to purchase and illuminate digital nodes on a shared online artwork called “The Internet Flag”.
2. Nature of the Service
By purchasing a node, the user receives the right to display:
- a chosen display name,
- optional logo or image,
- optional external link,
- optional short public message,
subject to moderation and approval.
The purchased node represents a visual placement within a collaborative digital artwork and does not constitute ownership of intellectual property, securities, investment products, or financial assets.
3. Moderation and Content Rules
All submitted content is subject to manual moderation.
The operator reserves the right to reject or remove content that:
- contains illegal material,
- contains pornography or explicit sexual content,
- promotes hate speech, violence, harassment, or discrimination,
- contains malware, phishing, scams, or misleading links,
- impersonates individuals or organizations,
- violates intellectual property rights,
- is otherwise considered inappropriate or harmful.
Rejected submissions may be refunded at the operator’s discretion.
4. Payments
Payments are securely processed through Stripe.
Prices displayed on the website may change at any time before purchase.
A node is considered reserved only after successful payment confirmation.
5. Refunds
Due to the digital nature of the service, purchases are generally non-refundable after approval and publication.
If submitted content is rejected during moderation, the operator may issue a refund.
The operator reserves the right to remove previously approved content if it later violates these Terms.
6. Availability
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
The operator does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website or permanent availability of specific nodes.
7. Limitation of Liability
The operator shall not be liable for:
- indirect or consequential damages,
- loss of data,
- temporary downtime,
- user-submitted content,
- external links submitted by users.
Users remain fully responsible for the content they submit.
8. Privacy
Basic technical and transactional data may be processed for the purpose of operating the service, fraud prevention, moderation, and legal compliance.
Payment information is processed by Stripe according to Stripe’s own policies.
9. Changes
These Terms may be updated at any time.
Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
